2022 has been a solid year for sneaker releases with collaborations and new silhouettes coming from various brands within the footwear industry. Though some of these can get experimental, most consumers prefer to stick with retro styles, as seen with the success of the Dunk silhouette. While not falling under the “Certified Fresh” branding, the latest Nike Dunk High is getting covered in an easy-to-wear "Fossil Stone."
Classic all-leather construction takes over the silhouette with tan and cream shades found throughout the upper. On the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay sits a fossil stone-shaded leather while the underlays on the toebox, midfoot, and collar come in a clean sail finish. Tonal laces match the eyestays while accenting the white tongue, though the biggest accenting shade comes via the midfoot's Nike Swoosh which appears in black. More fossil stone hits come courtesy of the mesh sockliner and insole, though the Nike graphic stamped atop the insole comes in a sail finish. Rounding out the look is the sail midsole paired with a fossil stone rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk High Fossil Stone W is slated to release in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
