It isn’t uncommon for sneaker brands to remix their popular silhouettes, especially with Nike. We have seen the Jordan 1 Low appear with a platform midsole, Dunk Highs return to 1985 and even Nike Blazers made fully out of hemp. Now Nike Sportswear is set to drop a remixed version of its ever popular Nike Dunk High SE, this time with a grid pattern on the tongue.
The Nike Dunk High SE “Grid Tongue” comes constructed mainly out of white smooth leather around the upper while accenting black patent leather makes its way onto the heel overlay and Nike Swoosh. Toebox perforations and the standard construction remains, however, the silhouette gets its name from the stitched grid pattern placed all over the tongue. A black sockliner and insole along with a white Dunk midsole and black outsole round out the entire two-tone design.
The Nike Dunk High SE Grid Tongue White Black is scheduled to release February 28th, 2022 through European retailers while a US drop is set in the near future. Releasing through Nike and select Nike retailers, the silhouette will retail for $120 in men's sizing.
