While the likes of Travis Scott and Virgil Abloh having distorted the Swoosh in many ways, Nike themselves is all too familiar with switching up the classic design. Dating back to the 90s, Nike was miniaturizing and flipping the Swoosh on its newest models. With decades passing, we continue to receive alterations to one of the world's most recognizable logos, seen most recently on the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “3D.”
Nike is keeping the familiar makeup the Nike Dunk Low is known for with two-tone white and grey dressing the leather underlays and overlays. White smooth leather dresses the toebox, midfoot, and collar areas while the grey comes in the form of the mudguard, eyelets, and heel overlay. Grey laces keep it simple, while the tongue tag features a 3D-glasses-inspired Nike Air logo. This same inspiration is most prominent on the Nike Swoosh on the midfoot with its navy leather base accented by a multi-color barrage of Swooshes drawn atop. The heel branding remains standard, coming embroidered in navy while the rest of the silhouette is rounded out by a white midsole set to a navy blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low 3D is set to release sometime in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Details on sizing and price point have not been announced yet.
