Although Nike is based out of Beaverton, Oregon, the sportswear giant has given plenty of cities and international destinations their flowers over the years through special colorways on various silhouettes. While this year saw the city of Houston receive a tributary AF1, it seems going into 2023 the trend will continue as we have first looks at the upcoming Atlanta-based Nike Dunk Low “ATL.”
Across the suede and leather upper sits a two-tone red look, coming in bright crimson and university red on the materials respectively. Leather takes over the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay while suede appears on the toebox, quarter panel, and collar. Accent stitching details throughout match the transparent TPU Nike Swoosh along the midfoot, reaching back past the “ATL” embroidery on the lateral side of the heel towards a “Nike” branded heel tab. More tonal red shades take over the lace set and tongue with the tag above continuing this monochromatic theme. Our final nod to the city of Atlanta comes in the form of another “ATL” logo stamped atop the insole while the sneakers entire design is rounded out by a white Dunk midsole paired with a red rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low ATL is set to release on April 4th, 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
