The Nike Dunk Low silhouette has taken over the sneaker world in the last few years with those just entering the space fiending for a pair and causing mostly instant sellouts. While we’ve seen special pairs honoring the great Jackie Robinson and collaborative projects with HBCU schools including FAMU, Clark Atlanta, and more, the inline releases from The Swoosh are constantly seeing slight tweaks to make the 30-plus-year-old design feel fresh. The latest of these slight tweaks appears via the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “Pure Platinum Wolf Grey.”
A mix of leather and nubuck panels, as well as laces, take over the silhouette with shades of white and grey seen throughout. On the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay a wolf grey nubuck compliments the pure platinum perforated toebox, midfoot panel, and collar. Running up the nubuck-covered tongue is a set of tan leather laces, working to a leather Nike branded tongue tag up top attached via blue thread. Along the midfoot, a white leather Nike Swoosh gets trimmed with blue that matches both the leather insole and the aforementioned thread that holds the tongue tag to the sneaker. While many of the details get the leather treatment, the sockliner stays true to the original with a white mesh utilized. Rounding out the look is the grey midsole paired with a clear semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low Pure Platinum Wolf Grey was originally set to release on September 23rd, 2022, through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. After a small delay, they will now release on October 15th. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
