If the past two years have shown us anything, it's that hype surrounding the Dunk isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. First introduced back in the '80s, the retro basketball shoe has made one helluva comeback, and now, it's getting a deconstructed makeover with the upcoming Nike Dunk Low Remastered "White Gum." Clean yet complex, simple yet striking, this is unlike anything that we've seen before, and we're here for it.
Taking on the Beaverton-based brand's legendary Dunk Low model, the Remastered edition features a leather and mesh construction and is painted in a crisp all-white hue. The oversized tongue tab is crafted from a woven canvas material, and it extends all the way through the lacing system for a rugged look and feel. The sockliner has also been given extra cushioning for added comfort with every step, and underfoot, you'll find a gum rubber midsole for durability and traction that has been taken to another level. This is then finished with a sleek Swoosh that shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls, finalizing the minimalist-meets-maximalist aesthetic.
Also known as the Nike Dunk Low Jumbo White Gum, the Nike Dunk Low Remastered White Gum is scheduled to release sometime in Spring 2023 in men's sizes for $120. Expected to be available via Nike, the SNKRS app, and select online and in-store retailers within the coming months, more colorways are going to be announced very soon.
