Improvise. Scavenge. Protect. Adapt. These are the four pillars that Nike's ISPA label stand upon. Renowned for pushing boundaries, some of the world's most unique sneakers come from this subdivision, including the Link and Road Warrior. Now, as the year comes to a close, the Beaverton-based sportswear brand is adding yet another silhouette to its ISPA line with the Nike ISPA Mindbody "Olive Grey," and it's literally unlike anything that we've ever seen before. Rumored to be made from manufacturing scraps, recycled materials, and trash, this is the epitome of apocalyptic chic.
As the old saying goes, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." Painted in an earthy olive color scheme, the Mindbody is crafted from a distressed knit material, and just like the ISPA Sense that just dropped, the materials are attached together with stitching rather than adhesive. Not only is this better for the environment, it also means that the Mindbody can be recycled a lot easier as there's no need to remove any glue beforehand. All of this sits on top of an uneven chunky rubber midsole, and tied together using a Swoosh-branded toggle switch lacing system which offers a rugged and ready look and feel.
Not for the faint of heart, the Nike ISPA Mindbody Olive Grey will release in men's sizes in February 2023. A retail price is set at $180, and they will be available via Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers both online and in physical locations. Let us know what you think of this upcycled silhouette, and if you're feeling brave and want a pair in your collection, make sure you keep it locked at our Twitter andMobile App for your best chance to cop!
