South Korean streetwear retailer Kasina is getting their chance to create an Air Max 1 colorway. The Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 is a blend of premium materials in a diverse range of colors with added details and accessories that let this pair fly higher than the rest.
The hangtag serves as an overture to the sneaker, the intricately stitched Mandarin Duck design resembles the sophisticated handiwork seen on the more ornate Korean Traditional garments. The colors that make up the duck can be seen throughout the sneaker, expressed in a diverse range of materials.
Burgundy tumbled leather for the toe box and tongue is matched by a strip of burgundy leather running along the mudguard. The textured greenish-blue quarter panel runs into the eyestay, where we see white laces and a wooden lace dubree donning "Kasina" spelled out phonetically in Korean. The blue tumbled leather on the heel sits overtop the quarter panel and the tan suede around the ankle collar, while a white leather inner lining adds just another premium hit to the sneaker. To top it all off, the orange suede of the toe rand features a mini swoosh on the lateral side, with a small flower and leaves blooming out of the end of the swoosh. All this sits atop a white midsole and a clear outsole.
The Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 Better Together will see a limited release via Kasina on June 4th, 2022 and worldwide on June 8th, alongside its Grey Air Max 1 counterpart. Retailing for $160 in men's sizes, they will be available at select retailers, both online and in-store. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
