Kobe sneakers are seemingly making a big comeback in 2023. In just under a year since Vanessa Bryant and Nike came to an agreement to continue the Nike Kobe line, we’ve received word that a slew of models, including the Kobe 4 and Kobe 8, will be returning in Protro form. A fan favorite for many, and the first model to return after the deal was resigned, is the Nike Kobe 6 Protro which has just popped up in a sample “Black History Month” colorway.
In the image shared by Vanessa Bryant, we can see the standard Kobe 6 Protro build with a gradient pattern transitioning from a tan shades to brown as you work back from the toe to the heel. The faux snakeskin print remains with a spray painted Swoosh in blue and pink featured prominently on the midfoot while the laces nearby come in a two-tone brown and tan matching the upper. Back on the heel, brown leather hosts a TPU heel counter that, once again, comes in a two-tone cream and brown finish. Completing the look is the Kobe 6 Protro midsole that takes on the gradient color scheme and features blue hits on the heel paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Kobe 6 Protro BHM Promo Sample is likely to remain just a sample, though we may see this pair hit shelves later in the future. Take a look below at the pair and keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
