Drake has carved a distinctive niche with his NOCTA label in partnership with Nike. NOCTA’s lineup has taken inspiration from retro Nike sneakers with both the Zoom Flight-inspired Nike NOCTA Glide and the ACG Air Terra Humara-inspired Hot Step Air Terra. After a series of previewed colorways on the NOCTA Glide over the past year — including the “Bright Crimson,” “White Chrome,” and “Black White” — a “White Black” version has emerged.
Keeping things simple, Drake’s latest NOCTA Glide combines the usual mesh, TPU, and textile arrangement for its upper. The base is formed by white mesh, complemented by a black and white textile panel gracing midfoot. Nike branding is tastefully incorporated into the TPU eyelets, while a white mini Swoosh adorns the midfoot. As expected, NOCTA branding finds its rightful place atop the tongue. Back on the heel, a nylon pull tab is present in black and white. Underfoot sits a foam and carbon fiber midsole that integrates “bug-eye” cutouts, a direct nod to the Zoom Flight 95. The design is tied together with a black outsole.
The Nike NOCTA Glide White Black will release this year through Nike, NOCTA, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
