A high-profile game against the Las Vegas Aces, where she secured 31 points, five rebounds, and six assists, brought with it not just a victory but also a sneak peek at a new colorway of Sabrina Ionescu's signature sneaker with Nike— the Nike Sabrina 1. Dubbed "Brooklyn's Finest," this design maintains the structural integrity of the original silhouette, combined with distinctive hues and elements that pay homage to Sabrina's WNBA team, the New York Liberty, that just so happen to call Brooklyn's Barclays Center home. This reveal comes fresh off four TB colorways of Ionescu's sneaker receiving official images.
The Nike Sabrina 1 "Brooklyn's Finest" pairs technical performance with appealing aesthetics. The upper features an engineered mesh construction for breathability, complemented by suede near the heel. The toe and eyestays are covered by a textile overlay, presented in a sleek black-and-white finish. The New York Liberty's colors are present throughout the remainder of the silhouette starting with the midfoot and collar flaunting an icy blue hue. The Swoosh is rendered in a bold black outline, while the heel enjoys a splash of purple suede. Adding a personal touch, the "I" overlay features Sabrina's signature in a soft guava ice color. A vertical Swoosh in black highlights the lateral side and sits between two cutouts in the sole unit with hidden messages. A purple and guava ice midsole with full-length Nike React cushioning and a top-loaded Nike Zoom Air unit in the forefoot pairs perfectly with a guava ice outsole to round off the design.
The Nike Sabrina 1 Brooklyn's Finest W will release on February 4th, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. The unisex sneaker comes at a retail price of $130.
