Nike continues its mission of amplifying women's representation in the sneaker world. It has chosen WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu as the latest woman to receive a signature sneaker from a sportswear brand. Her Nike Sabrina 1 shoe has technically launched through the custom Nike By You program, with the first inline colorways hitting shelves in September. Following the “Ionic” and “Spark” colorways, we're set to receive a variety of team-based (TB) colorways.
The forthcoming TB collection of the Nike Sabrina 1 contains a slew of two-tone and easy-to-wear colorways, including "Apple Green," "Wolf Grey," "Black," and "University Gold." The shoe features its usual engineered mesh and suede upper coated in the titular shade for each colorway. A textile pattern in the contrasting shade sits along the front half, subtly offsetting the primary color. More of the titular shade is also on the Sabrina logo atop the tongue and the lace set. A Swoosh outline graces the lateral side, with the medial side flipping the logo vertically for an added flair. The suede heel tab displays more Sabrina branding, and hidden messages are found on the medial side cut-out of the sole unit. The design is completed with a rubber outsole.
The Nike Sabrina 1 TB Collection W will release Fall 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in extended women's sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
