Thematic releases from Nike come from across their various sub-labels, however, Nike SB is often the most creative in this department. As we usually see around the spooky season, Nike SB has crafted another Halloween-themed SB Dunk following 2021’s “Mummy” colorway on the low-top version of the model with 2023 featuring a candy corn-like Nike SB Dunk High.
When originally revealed back in March, the Nike SB Dunk High Trick Or Treat sported different colorblocking. Keeping the same candy corn theme, the upper features a gradient color scheme just like a candy corn. From left to right we see yellow shades transition into orange that then turn into white. On the toebox, what appears to be teeth marks are debossed into the leather. Atop the tongue, the SB-branded tag features an evil candy corn in the logo. More nods to the candy are spotted on the insole. While the original sample pair featured a molar graphic on the lateral heel, the retail version places this design on the reverse of the tongue tag. Below this, the text "Warning! Do not take candy from strangers" is embroidered in black. Rounding out the look is the white midsole with orange contrast stitching paired with a black outsole.
The Nike SB Dunk High Trick Or Treat is set to release on October 2023 through Nike SB-affiliated skate shops and possibly through Nike SNKRS. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
