The Nike SB Dunk has become a canvas for Nike SB to bring forth hit collaborations, clean inline colorway, or impactful stories. While not often, we do see other parts of Nike work with the SB side to create an even more unique sneaker, like when Jordan Brand released AJ1 with SB tooling. Now, Nike’s N7 initiative, which started in 2009 has has donated nearly $11 million to 296 organizations helping support Native American communities, will be releasing a two-pack of Nike SB Dunk Lows.
Both designed by Indigenous creatives, the upcoming “Light Green Spark” and “Opti Yellow" N7 SB Dunk Lows bridge sport and culture by celebrating indigenous athletes through skate. The sneakers feature a canvas and leather construction with stitching details reminiscent of past N7 releases. The toebox and heel overlays feature embroidered details that contain floral patterns and a depiction of a bird in a multi-color design. While not confirmed at this time, the fact the color description lists the aforementioned colors first it’s possible that the underlay could reveal these shades as it starts out in a sail shade. Tonal shades of sail take over the tongue and lace set while the Nike SB tag above takes on a university red hue. Further branding details can be spotted on the heel with “N7” and a Nike Swoosh embroidered in red while the Swoosh along the midfoot features extra stitching details on the edge. Rounding out the design is a white SB Dunk midsole paired with a semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Decon N7 Pack will release June 15 through Nike SNKRS and Hibbett. An in-person release will be taking place at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona on June 17. Releasing in men’s sizing, both the Light Green Spark and Opti Yellow colorways will retail for $110.
