While many have loved the Nike SB Dunk Low since its introduction in the early ought's, the late 2010s saw a massive resurgence in the model’s popularity. As such, colorways began to sell out in mere seconds online, and prices on the secondary market skyrocketed. Possibly to combat the resale market, Nike SB has plans to restock plenty of color schemes from the past, like the “Fog” and “Court Purple” renditions, and will also bring back 2019’s Nike SB Dunk Low “Wheat.”
Retaining an identical color scheme and construction compared to its OG release, the Nike SB Dunk Low Flax will boast an all-over suede construction. Tonal shades of flax are present on the short-haired suede atop the mudguard, toebox, eyestays, and heel overlays. In contrast, a nappy suede is applied to the quarter panel and Swoosh, introducing an appealing variation in texture. Baroque brown accents can be found on the tongue and heel tab's Nike SB branding. The Zoom Air-cushioned insole continues this baroque brown accent, ensuring comfort and style in equal measure. A baroque brown midsole and a semi-translucent gum outsole complete the design.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Wheat is set to release this holiday season through Nike SB-affiliated skate shops Nike SNKRS on November 3rd, 2023. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $115.
