The Zoom Vomero 5 is, no doubt, one of the most beloved models in the Vomero line. First introduced in 2010, the silhouette blended retro design with futuristic technologies and quickly became one of the most popular running shoes in the Beaverton sportswear brand's roster. Now, after over a decade later, it's back in the form of the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 "Wheat Grass" - and here's everything that you need to know.
While Samuel Ross did drop three colorways in 2018 as part of his A-COLD-WALL* collection, this upcoming colorway goes back to its original form and shape. Launching as part of the "Bowerman Series," this Zoom Vomero 5 works on top of a wheat grass mesh base with leather gold suede and "cacao wow panels running across the board. A peachy orange Swoosh hits the lateral and medial side panels, and the sneaker is highlighted with a bunch of reflective touches throughout so you can flex even in low light conditions. Underfoot you'll find a sail Nike Cushlon midsole, and to round it all off, "Bowerman Series" is printed on the insoles, complete with a portrait of the celebrated track and field coach himself.
Scheduled to release on February 10th, 2023, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Wheat Grass will be one of the hottest sneakers of next year. Expected to drop in men's sizes for $160, it'll be available via Nike and select online and in-store retailers within the coming months.
