The collaborative efforts between Chinese creative agency notitle and adidas have been noteworthy. Their prior link-up in 2021 cemented their design prowess, creating a stir in the sneaker community. Now, with the past as a testament, they are gearing up again. This time, the iconic adidas Samba receives the notitle treatment, rolling out in four captivating colorways, with two of them set for a highly anticipated restock.
Initially introduced in September, the Pink and Cow colorways quickly became favorites. The Pink iteration showcases an understated elegance. It flaunts a plush suede upper, drenched in pink, harmoniously complemented by navy suede gracing the iconic Three Stripes and heel tab. Not to be overlooked, "Samba" text elegantly inscribed on the midfoot keeps up with the navy theme. A notable touch is the phrase "Love saves the day" emblazoned on the heel tab, encapsulating the collaboration's ethos. Completing the look is a semi-translucent clear midsole and outsole, providing a contemporary finish.
As for the Cow version, it deviates from traditional design conventions. A knitted upper serves as the base, interrupted by patches of faux cow fur on the toe and heel. Brown suede elements envelop the signature Three Stripes, eyestays, and heel tab, imparting a rustic touch. A thought-provoking message, "Saying no is an act of love," is etched in white on the heel tab, juxtaposing the textured background. The design culminates with a dark gum rubber sole unit, elevating its visual appeal.
The notitle x adidas Samba Collection, specifically the Pink and Cow pairs, is slated for a restock on October 20, 2023. This will be closely followed by the debut of the Red and Green variants on October 27, 2023. All these will be available from adidas Confirmed in China, though a US release isn’t out of the picture just yet.
