The collaborative journey between Off-White and Nike has been revolutionary, with Virgil Abloh playing a pivotal role in reshaping sneaker culture. Abloh's vision continues to resonate through his designs, even after passing in 2021. Among his many contributions is the Nike Air Terra Forma, a unique silhouette that represents his first original sneaker design for Nike. Initially unveiled at Art Basel Miami in 2022, the model debuted in White and Wheat colorways. This December 2023, the sneaker world is set to embrace two new colorways of this innovative design: Mantra Orange and Archaeo Brown.
The Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma is a bold statement in footwear design, showcasing Abloh's flair for combining functionality with high fashion. The upcoming Mantra Orange and Archaeo Brown versions continue this legacy. Both pairs feature a robust construction that includes canvas, suede, mesh, and ripstop materials.
The Archaeo Brown variant stands out with its earthy tones, incorporating olive hues across its overlays. At the same time, the Mantra Orange takes its titular shade and places it on its canvas and suede overlays. The design is further accentuated by exaggerated graphics near the heel and Off-White's signature textual elements on the medial side. Distinctive features such as the elongated tongue, a zipper shroud covering, and the chunky Air-cushioned sole unit with a spiked rubber outsole contribute to the sneaker's unique appeal and functionality.
The Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma will release on December 21, 2023, through Nike, SNKRS, Off-White, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $210. Stay updated on this release and more by downloading the Sole Retriever mobile app.
