The Oklahoma Sooners Join The Air Jordan 4 PE Party in 2025

Jordan Brand started 2025 with a bang, not only for us consumers but also for college athletes. NCAA programs nationwide that the Jumpman sponsors have begun to receive this season’s player-exclusive Air Jordan model, the Air Jordan 4 Retro, modeled after the First Class WNBA PE from 2023. Joining the Bruins, Gators, Bisons, and Tarheels is a pair for the Oklahoma Sooners.

OU’s burgundy red shade dominates the premium materials on this Air Jordan 4, taking over the buttery nubuck leather on the upper. Contrasting this is a slightly different red hue applied to the pebbled leather on the mudguard, tongue tag, and heel tab, the latter two also containing golden Jumpman logos. In addition to the logos, the Jumpman appears on the golden OU-branded hang tag, each containing a diamond gem embedded into the ball MJ is holding on the logo.

More golden details are found on the OU-branded lace dubrae, helping contrast the cream-white hits of the lacing system. Jordan Brand removes the Air Jordan text inside the tongue in favor of the words “Boomer” and “Sooner” on the left and right pair, respectively. For those unaware, Boomer Sooner is the title of OU’s fight song, often played at football games and chanted by fans in attendance. Finishing the design is the tonal red and white AJ4 midsole and outsole.
