New Balance is certainly no stranger when it comes to collaborations with streetwear labels. From Kith to Stone Island, the Boston-based footwear company has teamed up with the industry's most influential brands, and now, it's set to add another big name with the upcoming Palace x New Balance 580 Pack. A collection that first leaked earlier this summer, we're finally taking a closer look at the British streetwear imprint's next sneaker project.
Over the past few years, the Levent Tanju-helmed brand has linked up with adidas, Crocs, and Vans, so this marks the very first time that it'll be working with New Balance on a footwear collection. Taking on the underrated 580 silhouette it arrives in two colorways. The first one is the more minimal of the pack, featuring a grey and blue color combination. The second pair, on the other hand, opts for a more retro aesthetic. Arriving in a purple, teal, white, and yellow palette, all these colors clash and contrast but somehow work very well. Both 580s are crafted from breathable mesh and fuzzy suede with a carbon fiber Rollbar midsole underfoot for added comfort and traction with every step. New Balance's iconic "N" logo is stitched onto the laterals and medials, while Palace's italicized brand is stamped around the heel and printed on the dubrae. To round it all off, you can't talk about the New Balance Palace 580 without mentioning the tongue that features a hidden pocket to store your secret stash.
The Palace x New Balance 580 Pack will release at Palace on September 23rd, 2022 with a release through New Balance going down on September 30th, 2022. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $160.
