Patta's collaboration journey with Nike has been a highlight in the sneaker world for nearly two decades. Known for their innovative and fresh takes on classic silhouettes, Patta is back with a new venture, blending historic Nike designs to create a new version of the Nike Huarache. This latest collaboration combines the Air Huarache Plus from 1994 with modern elements from the Pegasus 40, showcasing the brands' shared vision for innovation and style. This collection comes after a sample pair of the White colorway appeared.
The pack introduces three distinct colorways of this hybrid model, which utilizes the upper part of the Air Huarache Plus. The first colorway, Black, embraces a neutral palette, featuring black, grey, and sail tones, energized with vivid orange and red accents that pop against the neoprene and branding elements. The second colorway, Saffron Quartz, ventures into bolder territory, combining yellow leather overlays, a grey mesh base, and a striking blue pattern adorning the neoprene.
Finally, the White pair features white leather overlays, a grey base, and pink accents. The tongue tag is adorned with a black panther logo encircled by Air Huarache By Patta text, further emphasizing the collaboration's unique identity. This theme of co-branding extends to the heel tab and the insole, seamlessly blending the aesthetics of both brands.
The sneaker's design is elevated by incorporating the Pegasus 40’s sole unit, featuring an Air Zoom-cushioned foam midsole for exceptional comfort and performance. Down below, the outsole is crafted from durable rubber, offering excellent traction. Patta's attention to detail extends to packaging, with co-branded paper and box top, and a special towel featuring the black panther logo included as a collector's item.
The Patta Running Team x Nike Air Huarache 20Y24 Pack will be released on April 26, 2024, through Patta online and in-store. Nike SNKRS and select retailers will release the Black and Saffron Quartz colorways on May 2, 2024. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
