Reebok continues to push the boundaries of cultural collaborations with its latest partnership with Places+Faces, a UK-based lifestyle and photography brand. Known for its deep ties to streetwear, music, and pop culture, Places+Faces has teamed up with Reebok to reimagine one of the most iconic silhouettes in the brand’s history—the Reebok Classic Leather.
Originally founded in 2013 as a Tumblr photo blog capturing the essence of underground music and hip-hop concerts, Places+Faces has grown into a global streetwear powerhouse, blending fashion, photography, and music in ways that have shaped street culture worldwide. As the brand’s founders, Imran Ciesay and Solomon Boyede (Soulz), evolved their project into a full-blown cultural movement, partnering with a legacy brand like Reebok made sense to bring their aesthetic to life.
This collection celebrates the enduring influence of both brands on global street fashion and music with two versions of the Classic Leather sneaker. One colorway comes in a sleek black, while the second iteration features a combination of chalk, silver, and white. Both pairs boast reflective elements and a signature design cue from Places+Faces, which bring a modern twist to the vintage Reebok Classic Leather look.
According to Places+Faces founder Imran Ciesay, the collaboration is heavily inspired by their personal experiences growing up in the UK. “Reebok’s Classic Leather was a staple, constantly seen in music videos and worn by cultural icons. We wanted to create a shoe that not only reflects the DNA of Places+Faces but also stays true to its versatility and iconic status,” says Ciesay.
The Places+Faces x Reebok Classic Leather Pack will release on October 18, 2024, exclusively via Places+Faces, followed by a global release on October 23, 2024, through Reebok and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
