Staying committed to its vision of merging sustainable practices with innovative sneaker design, Proto is set to unveil a fresh iteration of its groundbreaking IRIS-D model. Hot on the heels of a two-tone white and black release earlier this year, the new second captivates with a similar black and white knit upper that adds an always-welcomed gum sole unit.
The upcoming Proto IRIS-D White Gum is not just another sneaker, it is a statement of environmental consciousness and a testament to sustainable fashion. The knit upper comes primarily in white, with Proto's logo intricately woven in black, creating a clean yet engaging aesthetic. KX Lab constructed the upper using 98 percent recycled material for its yarn. Inside, the red insole enhances comfort and is designed by Blumaka, which is known for regrinding factory scraps, old products, and foam waste to create performance insoles. Underfoot, the gum midsole and outsole come from Vibram, a brand leading the way in sustainable development within the shoe industry and heralded for its grip. To round off the design, the shoelaces are made in the USA by Wincord using All-Pro Flat Braid "ECO" recycled/sustainable PET yarn, further emphasizing the brand's commitment to the planet.
The Proto IRIS-D White Gum will release June 22 exclusively through Proto's website. The retail price is set at $320. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
