Since signing LaMelo Ball, Puma has been attempting to position itself within the performance basketball market. We’ve seen Puma Hoops look to inject some energy into the lineup with the signing of Salehe Bembury, who will reportedly design an upcoming signature sneaker, and via the acquisition of Tyrese Haliburton. On the heels of these developments and the debut of the Scoot Zeros II, Puma is adding a high-end version to its All-Pro Nitro lineup with the All-Pro Nitro Elite.
This new performance basketball model comes packed with Puma’s most innovative technology. Across the upper, we see a combination of leather overlays, a mesh base, and the inclusion of ULTRAWEAVE, a lightweight woven material with targeted support. The latter of these three materials marks the midfoot, where we see an organic, wave-like design that flows across the sneaker. A Formstrip that acts as the heel counter helps reinforce the heel and is constructed from an electroplated TPU material. Also located on the heel is a plastic heel tab. Underfoot, the sneaker comes with a PWRPLATE carbon fiber shank built into the insole and full-length dual-density NITRO SQD Foam.
The Puma All-Pro Nitro Elite was released on October 6, 2024, and is currently available to purchase through Puma’s website in the Team Violet colorway. The White Multi-Color pair will be released in the coming weeks. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $250.
