Rising to fame alongside his brother Malice through their rap group Clipse, Pusha-T has always been closely connected to some of the greatest tastemakers in footwear and streetwear such as Pharrell Williams, Nigo, and Ye. Alongside his strong affiliation with the three adidas-affiliated (sans Ye) designers, Pusha-T took his talents to The Three Stripes around the same time the now-exiled Yeezy label joined forces with adidas and produced plenty of coke-inspired footwear options over the last few years. Now having been quiet for the last year or so, Pusha T took to Instagram to tease his next line with adidas as well as a look at the Pusha T x adidas Thorn Samba.
Mostly keeping the classic construction the adidas Samba has become famous for, the model stays in the neutral realm with shades of white and tan taking over most of the sneaker. Premium suede details land on the toebox and eyestays while an additional Trefoil logo gets miniaturized and placed right below the vamp. Tonal tan laces match the eyestays while the enlarged black tongue features the text “Thorn,” possibly hinting at a full-on lineup of products from Pusha and The Three Stripes as opposed to the one-off designs of the past. Monochromatic shades of white take over the midfoot and its Three Stripes branding, however, the collar features black adidas and Pusha T branding matching the nearby sockliner. Underfoot sits a dark brown gum rubber midsole and outsole which completes the look.
The Pusha T x adidas Thorn Samba is set to release in 2023 through adidas Confirmed and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. As of this writing, sizing and pricing information is TBA. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app for more updates on a possible lineup of products from the Pusha T x adidas partnership and the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
