"There will never be another." confirmed Pyer Moss in a statement when asked about the brand's collaboration with Reebok. Since 2017, Kerby Jean-Raymond has pushed the envelope when it came to sneaker and streetwear design, and after five fruitful years, the Reebok by Pyer Moss partnership is coming to a close. Originally meant to be an 18 month project, it became a half decade journey that will no doubt go down in the history books. To conclude the relationship, the New York City-based fashion label has announced Pyer Moss x Reebok Collection 4.5, otherwise known as the "The Last Reebok by Pyer Moss Collection Ever."
Over the last few years, Pyer Moss and Reebok have worked on countless hyped items, but the highlight of them all has got to be thePyer Moss x Reebok Experiment 4 sneaker. Akin to something straight from the future, the chunky silhouette combines a classic mesh upper with modern design elements across the board including a suede toebox, rubberized heel badge, and of course, the signature leather lace shroud. This all sits on top of a thick Hexalite midsole that's infused with exaggerated tooling for extra grip with ever step. As part of the Pyer Moss x Reebok Collection 4.5, Jean-Raymond has revealed three final colorways, including the yellow and black "Brand Codes," the green and black "Grass Is Greener," and the red and blue "Independence Day." All three pairs feature an oversized pull tab around the back and come packed in a special edition shoebox.
In terms of clothing, the capsule keeps in line with the collaborations sportswear-inspired aesthetic, comprising of a selection of hoodies, tops, skirts, leggings, and joggers. You'll also find buttoned jackets, and a chunky puffer trench coat that can be seen on Rich Dennis in the collection's lookbook.
The Pyer Moss x Reebok Collection 4.5, or "The Last Reebok by Pyer Moss Collection Ever," is set to release on November 12th, 2022, concluding a collaboration that has lasted half a decade. Set to drop in men's and women's sizing, the Pyer Moss x Reebok Experiment 4 will retail for $250 and will be available via Pyer Moss, Reebok, and select retailers online and in-store, worldwide.
