Reebok and Alien have a longstanding collaboration history dating back to the 1986 Aliens film. The film-worn Alien Stomper boots are grails for sneakerheads, and in 2016, Reebok recreated the famous footwear worn by Sigourney Weaver. Following up on the 2020 collab for the franchise’s 40th birthday, Reebok has teamed up with 20th Century Studios to unveil the Alien Romulus x Reebok BB 4000 II Mid, built for the legendary sci-fi film franchise’s next installment, Alien: Romulus, set to hit theaters on August 16, 2024.
The Reebok Alien Romulus sneaker, inspired by the Reebok Basketball’s iconic BB4000 II silhouette, features an all-leather upper with a distressed, film-worn finish that gives it an authentic, rugged look. The sneaker proudly displays the Weyland-Yutani logo on the tongue and heel, a nod to the fictional corporation from the Alien franchise. Additionally, the sneaker includes an EVA foam midsole for comfort and a solid rubber cupsole with a grippy traction pattern, ensuring optimal performance and durability. Among other easter eggs for fans, the design intricacies make this sneaker a must-have for collectors and fans of the series.
In addition to the release, Reebok partnered with Regal Cinemas to give away a pair of the Alien Romulus x Reebok BB 4000 II Mid. Details about the giveaway can be found here.
The Alien Romulus x BB 4000 II Mid will release on August 27, 2024, exclusively through Reebok online. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
