Reebok is taking another significant step forward in women’s sports by becoming an authorized footwear supplier for the WNBA. This multi-year partnership signifies Reebok’s continued commitment to basketball, with the brand aligning itself with WNBA stars like Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky and Lexie Brown of the Los Angeles Sparks to inspire the next generation of athletes and fans alike.
Since Reebok’s bold 2021 mission to reclaim its legacy in sports, the brand has taken significant strides, including appointing basketball legends Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson to leadership roles within its basketball division. The partnership with the WNBA represents a pivotal moment as Reebok taps into the rapid growth of women’s basketball. Angel Reese, one of Reebok’s key signings, has been instrumental in this resurgence.
Following the successful launch of her Reebok by Angel collection and leading the Reebok Engine A performance basketball sneaker debut, Reese is set to have her signature shoe in 2026—becoming just the second WNBA athlete to achieve this milestone with Reebok.
The partnership also highlights Reebok’s storied history of creating basketball footwear for women, dating back to the 1980s. In the ’90s, Reebok sponsored powerhouse collegiate teams and gave Rebecca Lobo her signature shoe in 1997. The brand’s influence extended into the early 2000s with marketing and licensing deals across multiple leagues, including the WNBA.
Reebok’s entry into the WNBA marks an exciting time for the league and the brand. The collaboration will bring exclusive footwear, engaging content, and impactful campaigns to fans worldwide, further strengthening women’s basketball's visibility. As WNBA Chief Growth Officer Colie Edison stated, “The WNBA continues to grow with iconic brands, and we look forward to Reebok joining us in driving women’s basketball to new heights and inspiring the next generation. As we continue to capitalize on increased brand awareness, our work with Reebok is another step in bringing more fans to the game.”
“It’s an exciting time for Reebok, the WNBA, and the game of basketball overall,” said Shaquille O’Neal, President of Reebok Basketball. “Reebok has always been committed to supporting the growth of the sport, and now with a strong plan, the right resources, and the welcoming arms of the WNBA, we’re ready to dive in headfirst with everything from product to players and more.”
