Recently, Bembury unveiled his first original sneaker design, the Pollex Juniper in Guava, which has generated significant buzz. While his focus has shifted mainly towards his collaboration with Crocs, Bembury's partnership with New Balance remains strong. Following their successful 1906R collection, early images of the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 530 have surfaced, showcasing a vibrant and innovative design.
Salehe Bembury's New Balance 530 features a wide-spaced mesh base, offering breathability and a lightweight feel. The upper is adorned with a striking volt colorway, complemented by suede panels that enhance the sneaker's texture and durability. One of the standout elements is the midfoot N logo, imprinted with a fingerprint design, a signature detail in Bembury's collaborations. The sneaker also includes Bembury's distinctive tag on the lateral heel, positioned just below the 530 label. Down below, the shoe sits on a cream midsole with a purple ABZORB logo on the heel and is finished with a blue outsole for a pop of contrast.
The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 530 Prosperity Be The Prize will release October 29, 2024, through Salehe Bembury's Be A Spunge website. A release via New Balance and select retailers will take place on November 7.
