In the world of sneaker collaborations, Korean streetwear label Song For The Mute (SFTM) has been making notable strides, particularly in its partnership with adidas. Following the success of their Campus 80s pack and a Shadowturf colorway, SFTM is set to collaborate with adidas again on a timeless classic: the Country OG. Slated for release in 2024, the SFTM x adidas Country OG Pack is expected to continue the trend of merging classic silhouettes with contemporary design aesthetics. This collaboration highlights SFTM's distinctive approach to sneaker design, which involves retaining the essence of the original model while introducing new, deconstructed elements that redefine the sneaker's look and feel.
The SFTM x adidas Country OG Pack will feature three colorways: Grey Black, Blue Black, and Black White. Each variant showcases ultra-hairy suede on the Three Stripes and the overlay near the toe, adding a textural depth and an edgy twist to the classic design. SFTM's branding is strategically placed on the lateral collar, ensuring visibility and brand recognition. Additionally, a co-branded tongue tag features both the iconic adidas Trefoil and SFTM's logos, symbolizing the collaboration's harmony between tradition and innovation. The sneaker's design is rounded off with a two-tone midsole, providing a subtle contrast, and paired with a tonal rubber outsole for durability and traction.
The SFTM x adidas Country OG Pack will release in 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. As of this writing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
