Los Angeles-based footwear retailer Shiekh is well-known to sneakerheads as they often carry some of the year’s most hyped and coveted GR products. Teaming up with adidas, Shiekh will celebrate its West Coast roots and the culture of LA through a collaborative capsule of footwear and apparel.
For the footwear component of the collection, Shiekh tackles the adidas Gazelle, a silhouette that has become quite popular as terrace trainers have remained in style over the last year. One pair sees a paisley print pattern and gets a regal twist meant to represent unity among the diverse cultural fabric of LA, as the sneaker is coated primarily in gold tones. Hits of cream white on the heel and black on the Three Stripes, tongue, sockliner, and lace set contrast the patchwork-like paisley details.
For the second colorway, we see a blacked-out Gazelle with gold-infused details along the Three Stripes, an added lace dubrae, Gazelle text on the lateral midfoot, and the Trefoil logo along the tongue. Ribbon laces add some extra flair to the primarily black sneaker, helping it maintain its status as a streetwear staple or an item that can be worn in a more formal setting. Finishing the design is the black midsole with gold speckle details.
Both pairs in the Shiekh x adidas Gazelle West Coast Holiday Collection will release on December 6, 2024, through Shiekh online and in-store at all of the brand’s physical locations. The Paisley Print pair will be available in men's sizing, retailing for $110. The Black pair will retail for $100 in women's sizing.
