Skepta, the British grime icon, has made significant strides in the sneaker industry, establishing his influence with multiple collaborations. In 2024, he broadened his impact by launching his first self-designed sneaker with Puma, the Forever silhouette. Following the success of the OG release in May and the exclusive Dover Street Market edition in June, Skepta and Puma are set to drop a new colorway just in time for the late summer sneaker rotation.
The Skepta x Puma Forever Beige Black Ice features a sophisticated mix of materials embodying luxury and streetwear aesthetics. The sneaker’s base is constructed from beige mesh, providing breathability and a sleek look, while beige leather overlays add a premium touch. The tonal stitching across the upper enhances the overall design, subtly creating Puma’s iconic Formstrip logo on the midfoot. A co-branded tongue tag, presented in black and silver, highlights the collaboration, with Skepta’s influence evident in every detail.
The heel is adorned with a silver Puma logo, subtly contrasting the predominantly beige upper. Completing the look is a chunky black midsole with a chrome shank at the midfoot, offering both style and stability, paired with a tonal rubber outsole for a solid grip. As revealed by retailer Feature, the sneaker also features a glow-in-the-dark pattern on the upper, though images of this detail have not emerged as of this writing.
The Skepta x Puma Forever Beige Black Ice will release on August 24, 2024, through Puma and select retailers both online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
