SFTM Previews their adidas Taekwondo MEI Collection Releasing Fall 2025
adidas has partnered with Australian label Song For The Mute (SFTM) again to unveil an upcoming three-shoe pack of the adidas Taekwondo MEI. As promised, a core principle of SFTM is that the collection is presented as a chapter utterly different from the previous ones. The first chapter with adidas, entitled 001, saw the Shadowturf model featured, 002 the adidas Campus 80s, 003 the adidas Country, and the Adistar Cushion was the star of 004.
Now looking to utilize the deconstructed process, the concept is relatively modern to The Brand With The Three Stripes. The Classics team at Herzogenaurach was brainstorming different ideas to present classic models such as the Gazelle and Samba in new ways, something that felt fresh. The idea is to source super fine leather intended to fit and mold like a glove, then return to the drawing board and build the shoe entirely from scratch. Removing all lateral support within the design has been widely acclaimed and a massive success, with several releases incorporating the process.
It is the turn of a collaborator to now put the technique into practice, promising the highest quality. Three pairs have been previewed, with traditional colorways adorning each. One pair is visible in black and white, another in the reverse palette, and the third in a deep brown with black and white accents.
Gold foil carries the adidas Taekwondo moniker in retro-esque placement along the sidewall. All three pairs feature dual-branded tongue tags, with a Trefoil logo joined by SFTM linear branding. Completing the aesthetic, gum-colored rubber outsoles sit underneath each pair, offering increased grip.
In addition to the Taekwondo MEI, the Adizero PR is also slated to release as a part of this collection with SFTM.
The SFTM x adidas Fall/Winter Collection W is set to release in late 2025 through SFTM, adidas, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women's sizing, retail is to be announced.
