Running strong for almost 30 years now, South Park has secured its place in history as one of the most controversial and relevant animated television programs. While the series has toned down its contrarian and over-the-top storylines in recent years, fans of the show have been blessed with a few collaborative projects between the Comedy Central show and The Three Stripes. On top of the previously released pack featuring the 4th-grade stars of the show, the two came together originally to pay homage to everyone's favorite stoner towel, Towelie. Now over a year since its release, rumors are circulating that the South Park x adidas Campus 80 “Towelie” is slated to restock.
Coming in the light blue shade the famous towel is made of, the entire upper comes covered in a terrycloth material, sans the leather Three Stripes logo in white on the midfoot. Tonal blue laces work up the terrycloth-covered tongue to the cartoon eyes above that will react to sunlight and turn bloodshot-red, mimicking the towel's frequent action of smoking weed. For all your carrying needs, the tongue has a hidden pouch with two keychains of Towelie, both his sober and high self. For the sockliner, a tonal blue leather is used with the insole featuring co-branding between South Park and adidas while the white heel tab hosts solo adidas branding in a font familiar to fans of the show. Underfoot, a white-on-white midsole and outsole combo complete the sneakers look.
The South Park x adidas Campus 80 Towelie is slated to restock October 6th, 2022 via the adidas CONFIRMED app. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $100.
