Thirty-five years ago, Spike Lee’s film Do The Right Thing captured a pivotal moment in sneaker culture with a memorable scene where Buggin' Out's pristine white Air Jordans get scuffed by a passing bicycle. The film, celebrated for vividly portraying New York City's diverse culture, has since become a cornerstone in cinematic and sneaker history. To commemorate the 35th anniversary of this iconic film, Spike Lee and Jordan Brand are collaborating on an ultra-limited edition sneaker: the Jordan Spizike Low Do The Right Thing 35th Anniversary. This celebration will include a block party in Brooklyn, offering food, drinks, and exclusive Jordan x 40 Acres merch.
Initially released in 2006, the Jordan Spizike combines elements from various Jordan models, notably the Jordan 3, 4, 5, 6, and 20. This latest Spizike Low, limited to just 100 pairs, pays homage to the original Spizike colorway with a white leather upper accented by green, red, and black detailing. The tongue features a co-branded 40 Acres and a Mule x Jordan logo, while the heel sports the familiar split Spike Lee portrait and 40 Acres branding.
The midfoot cage is adorned with a custom DTRT 35 tag, and the insoles display a graphic that splits the words LOVE and HATE between the left and right shoes. Each pair is individually numbered on the sockliner, with an embroidered indication of its place out of 100. The sneakers are finished with a custom 1989 lace dubrae and are packaged in a specially designed Sal's Pizza box.
The Jordan Spizike Low Do The Right Thing 35th Anniversary is an exclusive friends-and-family colorway that will not see a retail release.
