Known for blending wellness culture with a touch of luxury fashion, Sporty & Rich, the brainchild of Emily Oberg, has teamed up with adidas multiple times in the last few years. The latest collaboration between the duo pays homage to Oberg's Swedish roots through the adidas SL 72, with two different Swedish-inspired colorways.
This collaboration infuses the classic adidas SL 72 silhouette with a fresh narrative, embracing the iconic colors of Sweden. One pair comes with a primarily blue color palette, and the other takes on a primarily yellow color scheme. Both pairs feature premium suede accents on critical points such as the T-toe overlay, eyestays, and heel. The shoe's base is constructed from durable nylon, ensuring longevity and breathability. Leather Three Stripes adorn the sides, complementing the primary color on each pair and bringing the Swedish flag's colors to life on this timeless runner.
Additional accents are thoughtfully placed on the adidas-branded tongue, heel tab, and sockliner, further cementing the thematic inspiration. Sporty & Rich's contribution to the design is subtly showcased with the brand's name along the midfoot, serving as both a statement of collaboration and a testament to the label's minimalist elegance. The sneaker is grounded by a supportive foam midsole, color-coordinated in blue and yellow, and a functional rubber outsole, ensuring that the shoe is as wearable as it is visually compelling.
The Sporty & Rich x adidas SL 72 Sweden Pack W will release on November 26, 2024, through Sporty & Rich, adidas, and select retailers online and in-store.
