Steph Curry and the rest of Team USA Basketball are gearing up for the 2024 Summer Olympics, and with the global spotlight on the team, it's the perfect stage to introduce the latest in sneaker innovation. At a recent Team USA practice, Curry unveiled his newest signature shoe with Under Armour, the Curry 12, which is now known as the Podium Pack.
The Under Armour Curry 12 builds on the foundation set by its predecessor, the Curry 11, but introduces several new features and design elements. The upper is constructed from engineered mesh, providing both breathability and durability. This mesh is reinforced with TPU overlays around the toe and heel areas, offering additional support and stability during high-intensity movements.
The tongue is crafted from neoprene, ensuring a snug and comfortable fit that adapts to the shape of the wearer's foot. Signature Curry branding is prominently displayed on the tongue and heel, adding a personalized touch to the sleek design. The shoe also incorporates UA Flow technology in the sole unit, which is known for its lightweight cushioning and superior grip on the court. However, the Curry 12 features a new ratio of dual UA Flow tech for increased comfort and a TPU insert. Like the Curry 11, the new model also features UA Flow on the outsole.
The Under Armour Curry 12 Podium Pack will make a limited debut in the White and Blue colorways on August 14, 2024, through Under Armour and Dick's Sporting Goods. A global launch will take place in Fall 2024 through select retailers. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
