Steven Victor's influence in the music and fashion industries is extensive and impressive. Known for his previous roles as the chief creative officer of GOOD Music and the senior vice president of A&R at Universal Music Group, Victor has been instrumental in shaping the careers of numerous artists, including the late Pop Smoke. Beyond his music industry achievements, Victor has also made a mark in fashion and is well connected to high-fashion titans like Pharrell Williams and Nigo, the latter of whom co-manages his Victor Victor clothing line. In a recent Instagram story, Steven Victor gave fans a sneak peek at a Victor Victor x Nike Air Force 1 Low collaboration. The post showed off Nigo's anticipated Air Force 3 Low collab alongside this pair.
The Victor Victor Air Force 1 Low retains the iconic all-white leather design that the Air Force 1 is known for. However, this version features a distinctive twist with the Victor Victor logo embroidered on the heel, which is Nigo’s depiction of the Japanese fighting dog breed, the Tosa. This embroidered detail adds a touch of elegance and exclusivity, setting it apart from other "bespoke" Air Force 1 collaborations that often rely on simple printed logos, a la Travis Scott’s Utopia Air Force 1. The simplicity of the design pays homage to the classic aesthetic of the Air Force 1 while incorporating subtle branding that speaks to the collaborative nature of the project.
After teasers for months and F&F receiving their pairs, Steven Victor will release his Victor Victor x Nike Air Force 1 Low on September 28, 2024. An online drop will take place on his Victor Victor website and in person at the Nigo x Nike Air Force 3 release pop-ups in NYC and Tokyo. As of now, the retail price has yet to be announced.
