Nike's deep dive into its archives has unearthed some long-forgotten silhouettes, with the LD-1000 being one of the most intriguing. Initially introduced in 1977, the LD-1000 was quickly recalled due to its design causing injuries to runners. Fast-forward to 2024, and Nike is bringing back this infamous model, and who better to help kick off its return than long-time collaborator Stussy? With previously revealed colorways like Action Green and Phantom Aquarius Blue already generating buzz, three more Stussy x Nike LD-1000 colorways are set to drop this Fall.
The Stussy x Nike LD-1000 collection will expand with three new colorways: Particle Grey, Sanded Gold, and Pinksicle. Although images of these colorways have yet to surface, we anticipate that they will maintain the same construction and design elements as the initial pairs. Each sneaker will feature a lightweight woven mesh upper, with suede panels adding texture and durability. The accenting Swoosh logos will stand out, and Stussy branding will be prominently displayed on the tongue and heel.
The Particle Grey colorway combines grey hues with green spark and fossil accents, offering a subtle yet stylish look. The Sanded Gold iteration blends gold tones with laser fuchsia and fossil highlights, bringing a vibrant pop to the lineup. Lastly, the Pinksicle colorway mixes bright pink with fossil and white, providing a playful and eye-catching option.
The three new Stussy x Nike LD-1000 colorways, Particle Grey, Sanded Gold, and Pinksicle colorways, will release in Fall 2024 through Stussy and Nike online and in-store. The Sanded Gold rendition will hit the Nike SNKRS App on August 9. Before this, the Particle Grey and Sanded Gold will both drop via Stussy on August 2. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
