Stussy has been collaborating with Nike for over 20 years, placing their Cali-inspired touch on silhouettes ranging from the Huarache to the SB Dunk. As of late, the two have come together on a range of Air Force 1s, both low-top and mid-top, though now it appears the two are bringing back a silhouette from the archives. With a “Fossil” colorway recently revealed, two more colorways of the Stussy x Nike Air Max 2013 are added to the lineup.
Unlike the previously mentioned “Fossil” colorway, the construction of the silhouette switches from canvas overlays to various fused plastic overlays throughout. Both colorways, "Black" and "Pink," come in an all-over monochromatic look with shades of each color dressing the sneaker from top to bottom. Stussy takes over various branding details, seen on the eyestay, insole, and atop the tongue tag while Nike appears on both the reverse Swoosh along the collar and a mini-Swoosh found near the vamp, though co-branding does appear on the insole. Laces also get a redesign with the hemp rope-style laces swapped for a set of your typical Air Max 2013 laces. Underfoot, the two new colorways get a visible Air Max 2013 midsole while the "Fossil" pair is painted over in a tonal shade. Rounding out the look is a black rubber outsole.
The Stussy x Nike Air Max 2013 Pack, including the "Black," "Pink," and "Fossil" pair, are slated to release in August 2022 through Nike, Stussy, and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
