Supreme and Nike’s collaborative history dates way back to the early 2000s when the fledgling skate shop brought forth its rendition of the now-iconic Nike SB Dunk Low. Since then, the NYC-based label has transformed into a streetwear powerhouse all the while continuing to bring collaborative projects with Nike to life on a yearly basis. Following up on the two’s work on the Nike Air Max 98 TL and the reveal of a brand new AF1 colorway, Supreme is bringing back the Nike Air Bakin in a “Black Multi-Color” and “White Amarillo” colorway.
Both colorways in the pack take on a mixture of leather and mesh throughout its upper with the "Black Multi-Color" pair featuring a gradient like pattern on the overlays against a black backdrop. Wavy panels like the OG build of the Bakin remain with laces contrasting the white tumbled leather and mesh panels seen along the majority of the "White Amarillo" pair and a set of red laces on the other rendition. Atop the tongue, we see a co-branded Supreme and Nike tag in black with the aglets of the lace set hosting another hit of Supreme. Back on the heel, the nylon pull-tab and included hang tag on the topmost eyestay complete the Supreme branding details while the entire design is rounded out by a tonal Air Bakin midsole and outsole matching the upper of each respective colorway
The Supreme x Nike Air Bakin is set to release on March 2nd, 2023 through Supreme online and in-store, though it’s still up in the air if a Nike SNKRS drop is in the picture. Releasing in men’s sizing, both the “Bred” and “White Amarillo” colorways will retail for $160.
