Nike continues to push the boundaries of sneaker technology and design, particularly with its Air Max line, which has been at the forefront of innovation since its inception. This year, the Air Max family welcomes a new member: the Air Max DN, equipped with the revolutionary Dynamic Air unit, signaling a fresh direction for the iconic series. As anticipation builds for the official Air Max Day rollout, Nike has collaborated with Supreme to introduce this groundbreaking silhouette to the market. While we have already seen the pair that will be released, the Black Galactic Jade rendition, Clint, the founder of the UK-based streetwear label Corteiz, has shared images of a friends and family pair of the Supreme x Nike Air Max DN that echos the aesthetic of the Air Max 97 Silver Bullet.
Showcasing a sleek silver color scheme that pays homage to the original Air Max 97’s impactful design, this Air Max DN features 3M reflective Supreme branding across its lateral profile. The upper combines silver textiles with a haptic secondary layer, enhancing the sneaker's visual and tactile appeal. A mini red Swoosh adorns the midfoot's TPU shank, injecting a pop of color into the predominantly silver palette. The design is completed with a white foam midsole that houses the Dynamic Air units in the heel, promising superior comfort and performance. It is paired with a black rubber outsole for durability and traction.
Although the Supreme x Nike Air Max DN Silver Bullet is a friends-and-family exclusive, the pair shows the potential this new Air Max silhouette has. The retail version of the Supreme x Nike Air Max DN will release on February 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM ET via Supreme.
