Though not a fan favorite (or even well-liked by MJ himself), the Air Jordan 2 has made a massive comeback. This push may be semi-inorganic, as Jordan Brand has tapped many collaborators and put forth a slew of colorways on the model since Off-White tackled the AJ2 Low in 2021. For its latest release of the low-top version, Jordan Brand is bringing a muted orange and purple combo to the women’s exclusive Air Jordan 2 Retro Low "Sky J Orange."
Joining the brand’s Fall 2023 lineup, the AJ2 Low "Sky J Orange" features a two-tone combination of colors. Sky J Orange takes over the nubuck panels on the mudguard, vamp, and midfoot, with the shade reappearing on the suede heel overlay. Standard AJ2 details remain, including perforations around the toe and midfoot, while we see more tonal hits of sky j orange on the lace set, eyelets, and tongue. Accenting this burnt, muted orange are hits of mauve found along the sockliner, tongue lining, heel overlay, and piping around the suede panel. As for branding, the iconic Jordan Wings logo is prominently displayed on the tongue, once again in sky j orange. Underfoot, a sail midsole gets paired with hits of sky j orange on the rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 2 Low Sky J Orange W will release August 10th through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
