Tiago Lemos Teams Up With New Balance Numeric To Introduce The 808 Silhouette

When figuring out which brand to rock next time you hit the skate park, New Balance may be your next option. They’re often thought of as a running/lifestyle brand thanks to the 550, 2002R, and the ever-popular 99X series, though with the help of Tiago Lemos, maybe they can make some traction in the world of skateboarding. Following up on the duos 1010 model in 2019, the Brazilian-born Lemos is launching his second signature model with NB, the 808.
Although he may hail from Brazil, Lemos dresses the launch colorway of the New Balance 808 in a USA-esque red, white, and blue across its leather, suede, and mesh construction. Around the white leather toebox sits a blue suede mudguard, wrapping around the entire sneaker, though it does transition into leather once you reach the midfoot. If you head over to the tongue, you’ll find breathable mesh in a contrasting grey shade compared to the stark white lace set and leather tongue tag, though the nearby N logo on the midfoot also borrows from a grey hue. Back on the heel, more branding is visible thanks to the white “N” graphic stamped atop the blue leather overlay which sits atop red perforated leather. Underfoot, an Abzorb cushioned midsole is covered in white while the rubber outsole below comes in a tri-tone combo of black, red, and white.
The Tiago Lemos x New Balance 808 White Grey Navy is set to release on September 1st, 2022 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
