Tom Sachs has a long history of working with Nike on the NikeCraft line. His coveted NikeCraft Mars Yard and its cousin the Mars Yard Overshoe made waves with its astronaut-inspired aesthetic. Continuing on this design inspiration is the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe which recently was spotted in a second colorway.
Using similar elements to the Nike Killshot, Tom Sachs applies a more functional twist for his General Purpose Shoe. Sitting atop a yellow mesh base, overlays of suede and fused plastic accents in a mustard yellow. Just above the mudguard, a fused plastic overlay helps strengthen the pair to take day in day wear. Going up the suede eyelets is a set of flat laces, working towards the same iconic pull tab featured on the tongue. The Nike Swoosh makes its appearance on the midfoot portion, wrapping back towards the heel pull tab. Rounding out the look is a white midsole matched to a black trail outsole.
The Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe Dark Sulfur is scheduled to release on September 1st, 2022 exclusively at nikecraft.com. A worldwide release will follow on September 2nd at select retailers worldwide, both online and in-store, with a Nike and SNKRS app drop happening on September 29th. Coming in extended men's sizing, retail is set at $110.
