When Tom Sachs revealed the General Purpose Shoe in 2022, he promised that it would drop in much larger numbers, across more locations, with plenty of colorways to choose from. Following allegations of mistreatment from former employees and some very questionable choices for his studio setup, Nike officially came forward and said they were "not working with Tom's studio at this time and have no release dates planned." Since then, things have remained quiet on the Tom Sachs front until official images of his General Purpose Shoe in White Vivid Sulfur appeared.
Inspired by classics like the Killshot OG, the General Purpose Shoe is less a fashion statement, and more a tool to be used everyday. Outfitted in a white engineered mesh construction, light grey suede wraps around the lacing system and mudguards, while a contrast yellow Swoosh shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls. A dash of black hits the heel badge, and unlike most GPS colorways like the "Brown," this one sits on top of an all-white midsole. You'll also find lush green pull tabs on the tongue and heel, adding yet another pop of color into the mix.
The Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe Vivid Sulfur like all other Tom Sachs x Nike projects has been tabled for the time being, according to Complex.
