After news broke last week that both the Nike Air Max 1 and Nike Air Trainer 1 designed by Travis Scott would be releasing on May 27th, everyone has been eagerly anticipating their release. While Travis did raffle off his two Air Trainer 1’s via his website, it wasn’t until today that the Air Max 1 made it debut. However, much to everyone’s surprise, an unseen colorway was available, not the two already scheduled to drop at Nike and select retailers.
Another “Wheat” iteration, this Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 comes in wheat, lemon drop, baroque brown, and chile red. Now, don’t let that colorway description fool you. While it does match one of the other colorways, it in fact, is totally different. Looking more like a mash-up of the “Brown” and “Gold” pairs, this pair sports a wheat-based upper, with brown accenting the liner, strap, and outsole. Red rope laces and accents are finished off by an “aged” lemon drop colored midsole with a “cloudy” Max Air unit in the heel.
The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 Wheat released exclusively online via raffle on Travis Scott’s webstore on May 23rd, 2022. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $160. Find all upcoming Nike release dates here!
