The UCLA Bruins Get an Air Jordan 4 First Class PE
PublishedEvery season, NCAA programs tied to Jordan Brand are given exclusive sneakers, for in-game use and lifestyle wear. Programs nationwide are beginning to receive a new Air Jordan 4 Retro PE that takes on the same material makeup and added details as the Air Jordan 4 Retro First Class PE, made for Jordan athletes in the WNBA. Now, after images of pairs for the Howard Bisons and UNC Tarheels hit the ‘net, the UCLA Bruins have officially shared photos of their AJ4 PE.
Premium materials with golden accents and diamond-encrusted features grace UCLA’s new Air Jordan 4 PE. The school's iconic blue hue is applied to the premium nubuck paneling on the toe, midfoot, collar, and heel. In contrast, the pebbled leather on the mudguard, tongue, tongue tag, and heel tab comes in a slightly different blue hue. The first hits of gold come placed on the UCLA-branded lace dubrae and on the Jumpman logos on the tongue and heel, featuring a diamond embedded into the ball Jordan holds.
More gold is found on the UCLA and Jumpman-branded hangtag, adding a diamond to the iconic Jordan logo. Inside the tongue, the Air Jordan text is removed in favor of a nod to the Bruins, while the insole also contains UCLA branding. Finishing the sneaker is the two-tone blue Air Jordan 4 midsole paired with a tonal outsole.
Unfortunately, the Air Jordan 4 Retro UCLA PE will remain exclusive to UCLA Bruins student-athletes and members of the athletic program.
