Steph Curry’s NCAA career at Davidson College saw the future hall of famer set the NCAA single-season record for three-pointers made, the Southern Conference and Davidson all-time scoring record, and led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight in 2008. Curry hasn’t forgotten his roots, as his Under Armour Curry 2 Low Flotro is coming out in a colorway inspired by the Davidson Wildcats.
Akin to how Nike Kobe sneakers get the Protro treatment (performance retro), the Flotro variants of Steph Curry’s signature models retain the original's upper while adding Under Armour’s UA Flow technology. This standard is the case here as the Curry 2 Low's mesh upper is featured in an all-red finish to commemorate Steph's Davidson College days. A metallic finish is applied to the fused TPU overlay around the toe and on the TPU heel counter, adding some textural contrast to the sea of red. Under Armour logos find a home on the lateral midfoot and insole, while the tongue features a lenticular window with Curry's logo. The UA Flow midsole below, typically found in white, gets a red-tinted makeover with splatter details and a tonal UA Flow outsole.
The Under Armour Curry 2 Low Flotro Davidson is available via exclusive access to select Under Armour members online. A wider release to the public through Under Armour and select retailers is set for November 11, 2024. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $140.
