De’Aaron Fox is joining an exclusive list of NBA athletes with their signature sneaker model. Not only is he joining this small list, but he is also making history as the first athlete part of Curry Brand (not named Steph Curry) to get their sneaker, the Curry Fox 1. While De’Aaron has been spotted wearing a handful of colors in the lead-up to its debut in December, Under Armour has announced the first retail-ready colorway.
Titled Happy Fox Day, the inaugural colorway of the Fox 1 takes on a vibrant blue shade across its mesh, TPU, and leather upper. Contrasting orange shades appear on a Curry-branded tab on the tip of the toe and along the “fox strap” lockdown strap across the forefoot. This strap features intricate floral detailing in a tonal orange shade, with the tip getting a metallic gold finish. Fox’s logo matches this gold hue atop the tongue tag, surrounded by faux fur in a tonal blue shade. Back on the heel sits more orange floral details, identical to the one on the strap. A UA Flow midsole is in the same blue as the upper, paired with a matching UA Flow outsole.
The Under Armour Curry Fox 1 Happy Fox Day will release on December 6, 2024, through Under Armour and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is $120 and $100, respectively.
